Yvonne Rose
Tribute
Yvonne Juliette Rose (Veale) age 85, while surrounded by those who loved her, joined the heavens on May 31, 2023. She leaves behind lasting memories for her partner, four children, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Although there is never a good way to leave, she departed the best way having celebrated Mothers’ Day with all her children, many of her grandchildren, and most of her great-grandchildren. Her life was lived to the fullest. She was born in El Paso Texas and lived in several other states before finally returning to Texas in 1976. Her career included a myriad of opportunities beginning as a ticket agent for Mohawk Airlines, and as a clerk in the Sears toy department, before earning her degree in Speech Therapy. She worked in hospital administration, and manufacturing, and then settled down in Katy Texas as a Special Needs Educator. She was a prolific artist skillfully painting numerous pieces of flowers and birds and was an avid collector of every imaginable Cow Creamer ever produced. She loved her garden, fountain, and the colorful pottery adorning her patio. But most of all she loved her family. She traveled to California, New Jersey, Alaska, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Bogota Colombia to spend time with her children, and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love as the best example of a life well-lived. As a final act demonstrating her dedication to teaching, she asked that her remains assist those striving to make advancements in science so that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren may one day benefit from those discoveries. May she forever rest in peace.
