Sue Dalton
Tribute
Carolyn Sue Dalton was born to a plumber father and a nurse mother. Her daddy was a kind and gentle man who always fought for the underdog. Being the oldest girl, Sue was often responsible for her younger siblings fostering an independent spirit in her. Sue's love of the Lord was deepened when at age 15 she was able to attend a boarding church academy. After nine years of marriage, Sue reinvented herself as a single mother. She worked various jobs from teacher, to a chemical plant, to cleaning churches to being a caregiver. When her daughter went to college in 2001, Sue took the opportunity to further her own education. In 2005, Sue received her BSN in nursing at age 58. She combined her skills, working in home health and as a live-in caregiver finding her true calling. Sue cared deeply for the individuals and families she was privileged to serve, considering them part of her extended family. Sue was a spitfire who will be remembered for enjoying a good laugh and her love of time with family and friends, especially if travel was involved. Sue's love for Jesus was undeniable and she did everything with an eye toward His return.
