Tribute

My name is Shelly Inez Tackett and I was born November 27 1977 to David and Shirley Scott. My beautiful Princess Kirsten Lowrance blessed me on October 12, 1996. I met my husband John Tackett on April 6 1997 and we got married on August 2 of the same year. I was blessed with my handsome Prince Cain Tackett on February 8, 2001. I was diagnosed with lung cancer on April 13, 2023. I was determined to fight it hard. My sister-in-law Sally Tackett became my fighting buddy through the many chemo and radiation treatments. On October 19 2023 I was told the cancer had spread to my brain. I was still determined to beat it. After many more radiation treatments, I was told on February 16th 2024 that I wasn't going to beat it. I was given a month to live. Today is May 21 2024 and I have decided at 9:44 am that I am tired of fighting and I want to rest now and go home.
