Robert A. Jones
Tribute
This is one of the hardest things I have to do. There are so many stories to tell after 33 years together. Just know you were loved by many even though you were a Raiders fan. You had a heart of gold and loved your family with everything we had. You will be greatly missed by all. Until we see each other again I love you more. Here are some stories from family: Beau Jones: My favorite memory of my father was when we went golfing for the first time I was so excited to do something that my dad loved. I got my first pair of golf clubs and we went to the driving range. the look in my eyes when he was teaching me I will always remember the look of pride knowing that we found something that we can do that we both enjoyed and it made our bond stronger than I ever imagined. Ryan Jones: My dad Robert. One thing about my dad is that he was always willing to help his kids, even if he didn't know what he was doing. For example, when I was a junior in high school I wanted to play rugby even though my mother didn't want me to. The junior season came and went. Rugby turned out to be something I was good at and something my father took a quick liking to. When my senior year came, the team had more players than we knew what to do with. My father took it upon himself to learn the ins and outs of the sport. He learned the rules, the positions, and even the coaching styles. With that being said, he joined as an assistant coach. Not only did this mean he got to watch me play and practice, but it gave us another thing to bond over. One thing that I take from this memory is to always give it my all in regard to my children because you never know the lasting impact it may leave. Bob, you will be missed by so many. Just know you will always be that bright star looking down on everyone especially your beautiful granddaughter Delaney who was the apple of your eye.
