Tribute

Patricia Ann Hawkins went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025. She was born on August 13, 1945, in Norfolk, Virginia, and was raised in Miami, Florida, where she cherished the beautiful weather, flora, and fauna of the Sunshine State. Patricia’s legacy is her cherished daughter, Christine Langston, and her cherished grandson, Mason Langston. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Willie Hawkins, whom she loved dearly and whose family she embraced as her own. This extended family includes son, Bill Hawkins (& Vicky), daughter Cindy Woods (& Stan), daughter Pam Thomas (& Steve), and daughter Holly Arnold, along with 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Patricia and Willie met in 1977 while working in Houston with Kenworth. They married and eventually settled in Weatherford, TX, where they founded and built Classic Truck Services together. Their partnership was marked by a shared vision of building their business, owning land, traveling, and enjoying time with family. Patricia was a supporting member of the Lonestar Baptist Builders Association and the 1st Parker County Emu Association. She earned her Florida real estate license, and an accounting certificate, and was a long-time Mary Kay representative. Additionally, Patricia had participated in the Parker County Republican Women and was recently appointed Chaplain for the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion #163. Her commitment to her church community was unwavering; she was a beloved member of the Joyful Singers and wouldn’t miss the Emerald Fellowship dinner and game night or 42 Dominoes unless absolutely necessary. Patricia will be lovingly remembered as a hardworking wife and mother, and a steadfast Christian who touched the lives of many. She was a modern-day Mary Tyler Moore, known for establishing multiple businesses throughout her life and constantly reinventing herself with an eye on the future of her family. Patricia enjoyed watching football, gardening, fishing, and traveling with her dear church "Sistahs." Many of Christine’s friends affectionately called her mom, and she treasured being a bonus grandmother to Everly Grace Johnson. In her last two years, she was blessed to have enriching experiences with her boyfriend, Gary Eubank, and his sweet, loving family. The legacy of love, faith, and resilience created by Patricia will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends whose lives she impacted beyond measure.
