Tribute

Milton (Milt) was a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend. He could light up a room with his smile and had a great sense of humor. Milt was also a great cook who made the best spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, blue cheese dressing, and chocolate cream pie to name just a few. Milt also enjoyed going out to eat, Italian was his favorite. Milt worked in construction after graduating college because it was something he loved. Milt was very intelligent and sometimes underestimated by others because of the field he chose to work in. He worked with our Dad doing residential construction work and then started his own company with a partner doing residential work. When his health prevented him from laying block he went to work for companies that sell construction equipment. Milt was not only a great salesman, but he also knew how to repair almost every piece of equipment he sold and was often called when something broke down. Milt never said no when asked for assistance, no matter what he was doing, including his vacations. Milt loved his job until his early retirement due to severe back issues. Milt’s hobby was photography. He was a member of the National Parks Association, and he loved visiting all the National Parks in California and surrounding states. He took beautiful scenery pictures, several of which are proudly displayed in our home. Milt loved all types of music and going to concerts and plays. Milt also enjoyed decorating for the holidays, Fourth of July, Halloween (only Peanuts and Minions), and Thanksgiving and he would go all out for Christmas. Our home would have decorations from front to back and people would come to take pictures with their kids. For Christmas, he would start the day after Thanksgiving working hours to set up everything. He would have a theme each year alternating Peanuts characters with Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and he would have Minions thrown in for his sister. Milt was a soft-spoken but very caring person. He would do thoughtful things for others expecting nothing in return. Milt was very protective of the family and would do anything for them. This is only a brief glimpse into the life of someone who loved life, was loved very much and who left us too soon. The void Milt left in the lives of those who loved him cannot be filled but we know he is at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
