Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Martin Peter Hardman announce his passing in the early morning hours of September 30th, 2024, in Buckeye Arizona, he was 84 years old. He passed peacefully in his sleep after a very long and painful health crisis he eventually succumbed to, Martin will be sadly missed. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judy, children; Mark, Eric, Kim Scully, and Diane Hardman, grandchildren; Heather, Cody, Christian, Jace, Ryan & Kyle, and Son-in-law Kevin Scully, nephews Peter, Timothy & Brendan, all of whom he loved very much. Martin was predeceased by his father Martin Peter Hardman Sr., mother Rose Marie, and sister Rosemarie. Martin was born in Brooklyn New York in 1940 and was a veteran of the United States Army. An exceptional athlete, he loved all sports and being competitive. His professional life was to be admired as he was an Ironworker in New York City working as a steel connector which he was very proud of. He also worked as an underwater welder and finished his career as a Millwright at New Jersey Bell / AT&T in Central Jersey. Another accomplishment he was very proud of was being a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 43 years. There he was a mentor/sponsor and friend to many who he called brothers and sisters. He made a lasting impression on many AA members and helping others in need was what he found was his calling. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion where he loved to play Texas Hold’em. He was a parishioner of St. Henry’s Catholic Church where he volunteered his time. He had a love for animals, especially his dogs & cats. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed camping, the beach, and he never met a stranger. But most of all he was a father to four children who will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace pops!
