Tribute

Mom was a beautifully tenacious, hardworking woman of faith. She worked as a waitress raising two children on her income with a fierce determination to be independent. She succeeded with a truly admirable resolve. She enjoyed her job and cherished the friendships she formed over the years. Mom had a great sense of humor, her laugh was contagious! She was kind, often helping others without hesitation, even though she had little herself. In her younger days, she loved to roller skate, she loved to dance to the swings of the 50's. Her voice was beautiful, a favorite memory is Mom singing Que Sera Sera one of her favorite songs. She loved to cook and made many wonderful meals for family and friends. She took very good care of herself. As she aged her mind began to slip in an effort to keep her memories vibrant we continued having great conversations about all these things, and then finally her longing to go " home" and be with Jesus. She truly loved the Lord, She loved people and had expressed a desire to help others if possible in her death. We love you, Mom!
