John Rekito
Tribute
John was a loveable, quirky soul. He found joy in the simplest things in life and loved living in the Ocala national forest where everyone either knew him, or knew of him. He lived his life the way he wanted to, and never really cared about what others had to say about it. When his license to drive was taken away, he quickly started driving his riding lawn mower everywhere. If he had money in his pocket, and saw someone in need, he gave without question. His greatest love was seeing small children run and play and he always had a pocketful of change to give to them. He did this with no malice in his heart, he only wanted to see them smile, as they reminded him of his daughter when she was small. He was a salesman most of his life and found value in things most wouldn't. He bought and sold things, mostly at flea markets but continued to do so well into his 80s pulling his little trailer behind his riding lawnmower up to the busy highway. John leaves behind his only child Tammy Rekito and her husband Robert Allan. His older brother Milton Rekito and 3 nephews. Also, 1 niece from his deceased sister Donna LaBarr. He will be forever missed.
