Tribute

Please allow me to introduce you to 85-year-old John “Johnny” Poindexter. He was the oldest of 7 siblings. Dedicating his working years to the US Army as a Medic, the United States Postal Service, and finally Lismark and Grey Eagle Distribution Companies. He retired early to enjoy life in Maricopa, Arizona, with his wife, where they could peacefully enjoy the family they created. Johnny was a husband for 66 years, a father of 2, a grandfather of 3, a great-grandfather of 10, and a great great-great-grandfather of 5. Johnny loved life-he traveled to see the natural beauty of the world. He loved taking pictures, driving around just to explore his surroundings, and taking his boat out on the Mississippi River. He loved every living creature and his dream was to go on a safari. He was a practical thinker and he analyzed everything from multiple angles. If you knew Johnny then you knew dedication, you knew resilience, and you knew a different quiet type of love.
