Janet Ann Morgan, also known as "Scootie," of Seymour, Tennessee, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on September 26, 1946, in Houston, Texas, to the late William Augustus Sherfesee and Margaret Jane Lanier Sherfesee. Janet was the beloved wife of the late Hoytt Wayne Morgan. Janet had a fulfilling career as a Theater Usher at Dollywood for over 32 years, where her love for music and people shone through in her interactions with colleagues and guests. Her dedication to her job was evident in the joy she brought to those around her. In her free time, Janet enjoyed spending time with her animals, finding solace and happiness in their company. Her generosity and a warm smile touched the lives of many.

Janet is survived by her loving children Kimberly Lee Higgins (husband Steve Higgins), Larry Don Staton Jr. aka "Bubba" (wife Jennifer Staton), Margaret Lynn Bacon aka "Maggie" (husband Mark Bacon), stepchildren Hoytt Dwayne Morgan (wife Melanie Morgan), Angela Dawn Cowan (husband Dennis Cowan), Jeff Lynn Morgan (wife Melodi Morgan), sister Jean Sherfesee McCluskey (husband Lloyd McClusky), nephew Lloyd-William Michael McCluskey (wife Anita McCluskey), niece Kellie Jane McCluskey, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as other family and friends.
