Tribute

Our beginning…We met on a dating site called Mate.com. We were already seniors and Howard was 15 years older than me. He was so persistent in trying to get me to call him by saying in his post he left me "I really don’t look my age." We had many hours of talking story on the phone which was a phrase he used from his time in Hawaii. During our conversations, we talked about many things for weeks and by this time he knew my favorite color was pink. It was like being a teenager again and we took separate cars to meet and he greeted me with a pink wrist corsage. We began seeing each other and as time went by we decided to get married he took me to Hawaii where we got married on a private beach with my Mom and Papa. Howard was born in Torrance California and eventually moved to Hawaii where his twin and sister-in-law lived. He had lots of interesting stories to tell of his life and one of his favorites was how he was in a rowing club and in an outrigger on seat number five considered the power seat. He loved the races they had and won ribbons and a special Oar with his name on a plaque for ”Most Inspirational Male “ He lived on the island for many years and loved the ocean. When he moved to Phoenix he became an engineer at the Camelback Marriott where he eventually retired from. Our Happiest times… When we bought our Double Wide Mobile home and had some wonderful memories together. We loved going to the movies. Or just watching our favorite shows at home in our Den and would reach across and hold hands, laugh, or cry during the show we were watching. We have wonderful neighbors and friends who we can always count on. We took trips to Oregon and went down to the Ocean. We had good times and bad but the laughter and love we shared and God watching over us always got us through. I miss him so much and look forward to the day I see him again. Love you always.
