Helen Marie Zachman Fenton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 5th, 2024. She was 91 years old. Helen was born on March 26th, 1933, in Hays, Kansas to Mathilda and Edgar Zachman. Helen was an only child, raised on a farm outside of Ellis, Kansas. Helen attended Saint John’s Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. She went to a small country school, Cottonwood Grace County School, through the 7th grade. She then attended Ellis High School in town, where she graduated in 1950. After high school, she attended Kansas City Secretarial School in 1951 and then she went to work in Topeka, Kansas. In Topeka, Helen met Wade L. Fenton, and they were married on September 20th, 1953, in Ellis Kansas. In 1954, they moved to Denver, Colorado to make their home. They had two daughters: Sylvia and Brenda. Wade passed away in September 1994. Helen sold Avon door-to-door from 1954 to 1964. In 1964, she and Wade started selling Amway, which she continued to sell until February 2024. Helen loved to play bridge and go to the casinos. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Littleton, Colorado from 1959 until her passing. Memorials may be made out to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 6322 S Lakeview St. Littleton, CO 80120. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Littleton, CO on September 27th at 10:00 am with a reception at the church at 11:00 am, and burial at 12:45 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery. From the "North Entrance" on Sheridan Blvd, follow the signs for your staging area. Cemetery staff will meet you here. Staging Area A, 1st right, Kansas Street, sign says Staging Area A Parking, park on street. The procession starts here; please stay with your vehicle. Helen is survived by her daughters Sylvia (Dave) Ollila and Brenda Magee (Burt Zielinski); Grandchildren Dawn (Chad) Blackburn, Jeff (Jamie), Tim (Linnea) and Joe (Karlie) Magee; and Great- Grandchildren Jayda, Jaxon, and Jett Blackburn, Addison and Macallan Magee, and Marshall and Sophie Magee.
