Gilbert Arzate
Tribute
I was married to this wonderful man for 20 years and had a beautiful daughter with him. Gil was the best husband and father a person could ever ask for. Gil was such a hard worker and never complained about anything he was so easy to please and never wanted for anything. He worked full time even into his 70s just to provide for our daughter and myself. This man was never sick in the whole 20 years we were married until one day he told me he was having chest pains. I took him to the ER and that’s when they told me he had cancer. I couldn’t believe it, never a sign. Our wonderful world fell apart. He tried to fight it but within a year he passed away of brain cancer. When we found out he automatically told me he wanted his body donated so maybe one day there can be a cure. I found Science Care and I made the call and donated to them. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of Gil and love him dearly. I know I will never find another like him, but what keeps me going is I know we will see each other again. He was the love of my life and a piece of me died when he passed. Forever in my heart Gil will remain.
