Frederic Douglas Breaux
Tribute
Frederic Douglas Breaux was a wonderful and thoughtful man. Frederic was born in the deep south, Bogalusa, Louisiana, where bias and negativity for African Americans were the norm. However, he overcame these roadblocks to earn a scholarship to college where he graduated in Electrical Engineering at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has worked in the industry for over 30 years. Some of his contributions included the automation of plant equipment, training and encouraging new managers and providing workshops on team cohesion. Frederic was a caring and involved father of two sons, Sean Frederic and Malcolm Douglas. He supported them in their endeavors. Frederic taught them that family is a treasure to be respected and held close to your heart. He was a devoted and loving husband to me (Theresa Lynette}. He selflessly supported other family members, especially his mother, and his two brothers, in their time of need. Frederic cultivated and nurtured his friendships. He consistently made time to listen and advise his friends when asked. Frederic Douglas' life touched many people including work colleagues, neighbors, people he grew up with, and long-time college friends. He tirelessly pursued enlightenment through exposure to learning how things worked, especially the Universe. He would often say" There is so much to learn about our existence." To that end, he worked as an Engineer, Information Technologist, Real Estate Agent, and Smart Home Agent, taught weekend economic classes to young people through Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Organization, and founded/ participated in a Podcast (PEEP for Power.) There was nothing he couldn't do once he decided to master a particular venture. Frederic was the recipient of many awards throughout his lifetime. He was especially delighted to be awarded the MVP in high school as an exceptional Quarterback. Frederic was a fighter and fought hard as he tried his best to heal his body using the treatments recommended by his doctors. Unfortunately and sadly he did not win that fight. So, ultimately, with a desire to give back and make a contribution to the world, he decided to donate his body to science to help others. Frederic's body is no more but his spirit is all around the people that he loved and those who loved him. He will always be remembered as a man who loved his family, loved his friends, loved life, loved helping others, and participated in the betterment of communities in his realm of influence. Be at Peace My Love, Your wife, Theresa Lynette. Frederic's presence is already deeply missed.
