Tribute

DuWayne Plant was 89 years old upon his death. His greatest joy was playing his guitars. DuWayne was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 1946 when he was 11 years old. DuWayne lived 78 years as an insulin dependent diabetic. In his lifetime, he maintained a healthy weight and exercised regularly. He credited managing his body weight and blood sugar levels as the reasons he never lost his eyesight or sustained any amputations. He was very excited for his remains to be used for medical purposes.
