Tribute

Donace Hock Jacobs was born in Dallas, TX on September 14, 1946. She worked for Sweeny ISD in food service and also the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, later in life, and served as a Correctional Officer at Ramsey I unit, in Angleton, TX. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was a lifelong Christian and was a member of the Church of Christ. Sadly, she had a stroke after her husband of 51 years, passed away in January 2015. Her stroke confined her to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. After her stroke, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. She was a true fighter and stayed in hospice care for almost two years. Sadly, she lost her battle with Alzheimer's in the early morning hours of April 1, 2025. Always wanting to serve others, she made the conscious decision to donate her body to science, in hopes that her selfless gift might help future generations. She is truly missed.
