Derek James Bowens was born in Dundee Scotland. He was raised in Grand Junction, CO, and resided in Bailey, CO the past few years. Derek was a loving partner and father, dedicated to his family and put their needs above his own. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Derek's passion for the outdoors was evident in his fishing, hiking, and camping hobbies. He found solace in nature and enjoyed sharing his love for the great outdoors with his loved ones. Derek also enjoyed going to sporting events and was a Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos fan. Derek also served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He will be remembered for his kindness, big heart, and beautiful smile. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
