This is John S. Carolo here to share my Father's life story. He started working a paper route in Queens N.Y. Started working at 13 years old. Then he worked a warehouse job before starting mechanic work with his friend Nagel he was German. They worked with Nagel's uncle in East N.Y. My Dad Aldino M. Carolo did that until he got started in jewelry at about 18 years old. He worked at 93 Nassau and the name of my Dad's business was J.A.C. Jewelers. My Dad was a good dad, always buying toys for my big brothers Alden, Daniel, and me John. I remember on Christmas there were two wagons full of toys. Daniel and I grew up together but our big brother was 10 years older than me. My little brother was 16 months younger than me. I remember my uncle Jimmy and my dad were best friends and his brother-in-law. My mom Nancy H. Carolo Jimmy De-Rosa was my mom's brother. I was a little boy cleaning and helping my uncle and dad. 8 years old they started me, my uncle went to trade school for carpentry, he taught me everything about wood working. My dad started me on the cars. My uncle Jimmy worked on cars with my dad, And when they needed help Nagel Would Help Them Out. My dad was always doing business but always made sure we had what we needed. My Dad was my best friend, and Father. I started helping my parents run the house as early as 16 years old. Always with my parents, even when they were healthy. My mothers sister lived in the Bronx off Arthur Avenue Little Italy, Butchers, bakery's, Italian neighborhood. Cafe's, video games, Gambling, Bache Ball, hand ball, stick ball, The movie Bronx Tails, right near my family. My dad had a 1971 Lincoln Mark 111, They wanted my dad's car in one of the movies, My dad wasn't around, Oh well what can you do? My dad was a workaholic, amazing worker, never tired ready at a moments notice. My daughter was born April 2011 he was able to stay up around the clock with the baby on 3rd shift till she was 6 years old. He was good till about 77 than he started to slow down. My mom and dad were married 64 years, Incredible. He's gone but not forgotten, rest easy in heaven, no more suffering, with his family in Heaven. I will never forget you Grandpa. I look at your pictures with mom and we reminisce. All those memories and good times we had. You were A True Legend, And Second To None. You were the best of the best, Your reputation will follow you into the next life. Beast Master like Tarzan, everybody loved you and respected you for being you. Big heart generous, not sure if everybody really appreciated you, but money never changed you. We were pretty rich as kids. Grandpa always said "I never made easy money." He worked hard for every dollar. We are apart now but one day we will all meet up.
